How To Save Road Dogs
When we walk down a street we mostly come across a common scenario; a dog is wagging its tail standing in front of a food stall and looking longingly at people standing nearby gorging on food. But no one is paying attention and the shop keeper is busy shooing the helpless hungry animal away so that the customers can enjoy their food in peace. But there are even worse scenes that one encounters;such as throwing stones at these dogs; mostly these dogs don’t get to eat everyday. They always look for food if anyone gives them a little something then the poor thing gets to eat or either the dog has to search for food from garbage or go hungry for days. When it rains a stray dog more often than not can’t find a shelter and keeps shaking from cold. Same thing happens to them in winter. Most of them die suffering from some disease or by getting run over by vehicle. We all are familiar with this scenario but still we act like passive onlookers. But we do not need to. After all we are all human beings. We can do something for these animals. And we should do everything we could. If we really want to do something and if we really feel bad seeing these animals in such pathetic situation, then we should come and do our bit.
Most of us prefer having pets. We go to pet store to buy expensive dogs and spend hefty amount of money every month for their maintenance. Instead of doing this we can all adopt street dogs, and take good care of them. You do not need to feed them costly dog food. Just give them a simple meal. And take them for vaccination. Also take them to the vet for regular check up. If every home in a locality adopts one stray dog then there won’t be any stray dogs on the street. Just feed them and give them shelter and lots of love. These dogs do not need much. Its time we do something for these street dogs.
Help Road Dogs
We all feel bad seeing the plight of stray dogs, but most of us do not feel like helping out. Day after day we see them suffer helplessly. But there are people who prefer doing something for them. And most importantly these people feel that they have some responsibility towards the welfare of these animals. In our society there are two kinds of people; the first kind enjoy shooing, kicking street dogs; they never even give a piece of bread to dogs. During rain when the poor animal comes for shelter they shoo the animal away. Lets move on to the next kind who feed these animals, if they find an sick dog they immediately take them to the vet. I think we should help out these poor animals. All across the world people are working hard to help stray dogs. Many voluntary organizations have dedicated themselves to the welfare of these animals. These organizations adopt stray dogs from the streets. Give them shelter. If the pet is suffering from some disease or wound then they arrange for its treatment.
After the animal is completely healed, the organizations finds a home for it. Often people are asked to adopt these animals. These animals get shelter and care and food everything in these organizations. So if you ever find a dog in the street in helpless situation then immediately contact these organizations. They would come and collect it. These organizations frequently run awareness campaigns to make people aware of the plight of these animals. If you ever see a dog getting stoned or beaten stop that. Make your children animal friendly and teach them to be kind to animals. If possible feed the dog that sleeps in front of your home every night and guards it without any expectation. Arrange for the vaccination of all the stray dogs in your locality. And during winter or rain try to give them some shelter; and if possible try to adopt one.
